The open house will include lab tours.
Walla Walla University’s Edward F. Cross School of Engineering is holding an April 27 open house to celebrate its 65th anniversary.
"We've had quite a history packed into 65 years," says Douglas Logan, dean of the School of Engineering. "In 1947, 26 students attended classes in a surplus World War II barracks. Now we have 222 students, the Chan Shun Pavilion and well-equipped laboratory facilities. Please join us for a little birthday cake to celebrate that history, and take a tour of our labs to see what we have going on now."
The school offers four areas of study, including civil, computer, electrical, and mechanical engineering. Bioengineering is also offered in conjunction with the university’s biology department.
The open house starts at 3 p.m. at the Chan Shun Pavilion, which is located on S.W. 4th Street just east of S. College Avenue in College Place. Admission is free, and the public is cordially invited to attend.
