Move-Out Checklist

Upon vacating the rental unit, the Tenant is responsible for restoring the unit to its initial clean condition.

Cleaning charges are based on average costs to the Housing Office, and will be deducted from your deposit. This list is not intended to be all-inclusive. If the security/cleaning/damage deposit will not cover the clean-up and repair costs of the premises, the Tenant(s) of the unit will be held liable for any additional cost.

Be sure to call all utility companies when you move and have the service put back in the Universities' name – except for telephone, just cancel this service.

All general cleaning, including washing down ceilings and walls because of smoke, grease and hand prints, will be charged at $20.00 per hour. Damages will be charged as we become aware of them. Repairs will be made at the rate of $20.00 per hour for labor, equipment and cleaning supplies. This price does not include material needed for the repair and will be added to the bill.

Also remember to return keys to the Housing Office. Rent will be charged until keys are returned.

The Housing Office reserves the right to change prices with a 30-day advanced notice, and to make revisions to this handbook at any time.
