WWU School of Nursing - Portland Campus
The Walla Walla University Campus Health & Wellness for the Portland Nursing Campus offers healthcare services (see below) and counseling services (see Services).
Walla Walla University Campus Health & Wellness contracts for healthcare services with Ventura Park Adventist Health Clinic for the nursing students on Portland Campus who are not already established with a healthcare provider in the Portland/Vancouver area. Campus Health Services recommends that you sign up (on Registration Day) to receive medical care at:

Be sure to identify yourself as a Walla Walla University student. If Kathy is not available, please ask to speak with the receptionists. Bring your insurance information at the time of your appointment. To schedule future appointments, call (503) 256-0636.
All the costs of each office visit will be billed to your own medical insurance. Kathy Duncan will clarify what your insurance will or will not cover at Ventura Park clinic. The student is responsible for any co-pay. If for any reason your medical insurance does not cover an office visit or related medical bills, you will be responsible for payment in full. (If your insurance has a deductible, you will be responsible to pay it in full, Campus Health & Wellness will not pay this fee.)
The student needing a physical exam for School of Nursing admission may request an abbreviated physical exam (at the Ventura Park clinic) which is less expensive than the full exam. You will need to know if your medical insurance covers physical exams. If your insurance does not cover physical exams, you will be responsible for payment in full. (The medical insurance plan available through WWU does not cover physical exams or preventative health care.)

If you are enrolled in the WWU student medical insurance plan, you must fill out a claim form for each new condition or prescription. (See the insurance brochure for specific information on coverage.) Insurance claim forms may be obtained at the School of Nursing office, the Ventura Park clinic, or Campus Health & Wellness on the main WWU campus.

If a student has an urgent care need and is not able to get an appointment at the Ventura Park clinic, it is recommended that the student go to the urgent care walk-in clinic below. The student will be responsible for all costs incurred (college will not cover co-payment).
