Eligibility for Services for 2013-2014 Academic Year

All enrolled, tuition paying graduate and undergraduate students on the Billings, College Place, Missoula, Portland or Rosario campuses, and students in the summer work program are provided $3,000 of coverage under the Student Accident Insurance Program and are eligible to participate in the Hardwaiver Mandatory Student Health and Additional Accident Insurance Plan. Task force workers and HomeBase students may purchase this insurance.

Students must actively attend classes for 45 days following the date of enrollment in this insurance program, with exception of task Force Workers within the US.

Eligible students may also purchase dependent coverage under the Hardwaiver Mandatory Student Health and Additional Accident Insurance Plan by contacting Wells Fargo Insurances USA, Inc. at (800) 853-5899. Eligible students who involuntarily lose coverage under another group insurance plan are also eligible to purchase the Student Health and Additional Accident Insurance plan within 30 days of loss of coverage.

Students taking less than 4 credit hours, students who do not pay tuition, Adventist College Abroad Students and Student Missionaries are excluded from this coverage.

Eligibility Dates
Fall quarter 2013: September 15, 2013 – September 15, 2014
Winter quarter 2014: January 6, 2014 – September 15, 2014
Spring quarter 2014: March 31, 2014 – September 15, 2014
Summer quarter 2014:  June 23, 2014 – September 15, 2014

Dropping Classes
Any student who drops all their classes less than 45 days after the start of the first quarter after enrollment are no longer eligible for medical insurance.  

International Students
All International Students (including Canadian) are required to purchase the Mandatory Student Health and Additional Accident Insurance (see WWU Financial Bulletin for details).
