Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministries is dedicated to praying for Walla Walla University’s students, staff, faculty and the Walla Walla community. This ministry is devoted to praying for those in need, and those who are rejoicing. We are devoted to praying for and with you, whatever you may be happening in your life.

How do I get involved?

There are several ways that you can be involved in prayer ministries this year:

Prayer Ministry:
This is two-fold opportunity. First Prayer Ministries in these services provides the body of Walla Walla University with the opportunity to receive prayer ministry and secondly to have student involvement in services by being Prayer Warriors.

CommUnity
Every Tuesday after service, Open to everyone
Vespers Every Friday after service, Open to everyone
Week of Worship Once per quarter, Open to everyone

For Prayer Warriors: In addition to these activities the Chaplain’s Room in the Spiritual Life Center will be available to you to gather with other Prayer Warriors and pray for one another and for the incoming prayer requests.

Mondays and Wednesdays 12:00 PM, Tuesdays 8:00 A.M, and Thursday 11:00 A.M

Additionally, the received prayer requests will be compiled and emailed to you.

Flag Pole Prayer Time: This is an opportunity for the body of Walla Walla University to begin their mornings in praying to God. It will be a gathering at the campus’ flagpole.
Monday - Friday at 7:45 A.M. and Tuesday at 11:55 A.M. Open to everyone

Prayer Walks: Once a month activity open to both Prayer Warriors and the body of Walla Walla University. The purpose is to extend prayer ministry from the body of Walla Walla University into the community of College Place by having a session of prayer while walking through the city.

Tentative Dates are Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8.

Where can I submit my Prayer Requests?

  • At CommUnity you can turn in a prayer request card in the wooden prayer request box in the lobby of the church at the information booth.
  • In the Spiritual Life Center, and Foreman, Meske and Sittner Halls you can drop a prayer request card in the wooden prayer request boxes.
  • You can submit them through our secure web form.
  • You can submit them through e-mail (prayer@wallawalla.edu ).
  • You can visit the Walla Walla Wailing Wall facebook page here.

It is the hope of this Ministry that prayer will be a daily, if not a minute by minute time to talk and listen to your Savior. Prayer Ministries is about making prayer an everyday part of Walla Walla University. I hope that if you have any concerns or praises that you will feel comfortable sharing.
