Counseling Psychology Comprehensive Examinations
The comprehensive examination consists of two parts: a written part and an oral part. The master’s student in consultation with the major advisor shall decide when he or she is ready for the comprehensive examination. The comprehensive examination is offered once a year, in April. It cannot be taken until the student has completed at least two-thirds of his or her program requirements. A student must successfully complete his or her written and oral comprehensive exams prior to defending the thesis.
