Personal Statement for the School of Social Work

The nature and demand of the profession requires that applicants possess certain personal attributes and motivations which complement their intellectual abilities. For this part of the application you are asked to prepare a personal statement, which is confidential and is used by the school only in the admissions process. This document is a very important part of your application and is evaluated for content as well as writing skills.

The Personal Statement allows you to communicate directly with the Admissions Committee and enables the members of the Committee to know more about you, both as a person and as an aspirant for entry into the social work profession. Your statement must be written in four (4) sections, responding to each of the guidelines.

Length requirement for entire personal statement (this is the combined length of all 4 questions). MINIMUM LENGTH - 1200 WORDS; MAXIMUM LENGTH 2000 WORDS.
