Mission Statement
of the Walla Walla University Church of Seventh-day Adventists

God, our gracious Redeemer and the all-wise Creator of the good and beautiful, has revealed Himself to us through Scripture and the ministry of Jesus Christ.

In response to this revelation, we are drawn to God in corporate worship and personal devotion; we are called to live His justice, compassion, and mercy toward others; and we covenant together to keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Our particular responsibility and ministry involve the students, faculty, and staff of Walla Walla University, our children and youth, our community members, and the world church and its mission.

Joining together in Sabbath worship, we
     Celebrate God’s goodness,
     Reverence His mystery and majesty, and
     Deepen our appreciation of truth and beauty.

Participating in loving fellowship, we
     Nurture spiritual life,
     Provide mutual support, and
     Develop our capacity to think and act responsibly.

Committing ourselves to obedient service, we
     Share the good news of the gospel,
     Minister to the physical and social needs around us, and
     Affirm the worth and dignity of every human being.
