  "Bibles, Booze and Baseball" - a History Colloquium by Terry Gottschall

Don't miss an opportunity to hear Terry Gottschall present, "Bibles, Booze, and Baseball: Blue Laws and Baseball in the Walla Walla Valley, 1901-1902," Tuesday evening at 7:30pm.

This history colloquium presentation will reflect on an attempt on the part of the Walla Walla Ministerial Union combined with the local chapter of the Women's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) to enforce the archaic territorial Sunday closing laws against baseball games played on Sunday afternoons by the local town team.
