Special Business Accreditation

We were the first business program in the denomination to obtain special business accreditation, initially accredited in 1997 from the Accreditation Council of Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP), a recognized leader in mission-based accreditation for business schools around the world.  All of our bachelor degrees are are internationally accredited by ACBSP. In a nutshell, accreditation means that:

• Our program has been evaluated according to high standards, so students can be assured they are receiving the best quality of education possible. The standards are modeled on the Baldridge National Quality Program and cover areas such as faculty qualifications, curriculum, classroom facilities, and computer & library resources.
• Our degrees are more recognized nationally and internationally, and credits are more easily transferable to other programs, which is especially important for those applying to graduate schools.
• Students can participate in the Delta Mu Delta honor society, which recognizes academic excellence and provides lifetime memberships
  
• Students can apply for scholarships which require their business program to be accredited.
• Some professional and licensure certifications require a degree from a business program that is accredited (e.g. CPA in some states).
