ROOM CHARGES ON THE PORTLAND CAMPUS
Rooms in Hansen Hall are usually available for single occupancy only and the rent is $1,455 per quarter. Should double occupancy be approved, rent would be charged at the same rate as Foreman Hall for each occupant.
ROOM DEPOSIT ON THE PORTLAND CAMPUS
A $175 deposit is required to reserve a room in Hansen Hall. Upon their departure, a refund of up to $115 may be applied to the student's account. Charges for delayed departure, an uncleaned or damaged room, or failure to return keys are also applied to the student's account. Should a student not enroll, the entire deposit will be refunded.
Telephone and voicemail services are available upon request through Information Services.
COMPUTER NETWORK USE ON THE COLLEGE PLACE CAMPUS
All rooms are wired for connections to the campus computer network. Students are responsible for getting a network card needed to connect to the campus computer network. Network cards may be purchased through Information Services and can be used throughout a student's university stay.
PRINTING IN PC LABS
Students will be charged for printing in the library and general purpose PC Labs. Each student will be given $10 credit (100 free pages) each quarter in case of technical problems with printing. After that, each page will cost 10¢. At the end of each quarter, the printing charges will be added to each students account.
Walla Walla University owns several studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. In addition, houses with up to four bedrooms are available for families. Rental rates are comparable with rates in the community. Off-campus housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority is given to married students, students 25 years of age and older, and students with children. Students transferring to WWU who wish to live in university-owned housing are encouraged to contact the WWU Village Life Office one quarter prior to their anticipated arrival. Otherwise, there are three on-line sign up time periods each year for university-owned housing available through the student's myWWU account. The dates for the 2013-14 school year are:
- November 16 - 19, 2014 10 a.m. for Winter Quarter 2015 Move-In
- February 15 - 18, 2015 10 a.m. for Spring Quarter 2015 Move-In
- May 10 - 13, 2015 10 a.m. for Summer/Fall Quarter 2015 Move-In
Financial arrangements must be approved by Student Financial Services before a student may move into university housing. For more information about housing availability, students may contact the office of WWU Village Life Office at (509)-527-2109.
Housing Administration and Occupancy Fees
The following fees are required in order to secure university-owned housing:

The administration fee is to help with processing of files and will be applied toward apartment improvements. The occupancy fee will be applied toward carpet cleaning and light touch-up after occupant vacates. The student is still expected to leave the apartment in the condition it was upon move in. If there are charges for additional damage, delayed departure, or failure to return keys that exceed this fee ($100-$200 depending on unit), these charges will be added to the student's account after the student moves out.
Pets are not allowed in any WWU campus-owned student housing. Should tenant bring a pet onto the premises, they will be given a 10-day notice to move. In addition, a fine of $100 will be levied and, if necessary, additional fees for damages will be charged to the tenant's WWU student account.
