Interlibrary Loan service (ILL) is the service that provides Walla Walla University patrons the opportunity to borrow books and obtain copies of articles from libraries within the United States but outside of the Orbis Cascade Alliance (Summit libraries).
The purpose of the interlibrary loan service (ILL) is to obtain materials that are not available at Walla Walla University Library yet are needed for either course work or faculty research at Walla Walla University.
January 20, 2015: Due to a system migration within the Orbis Cascade Alliance all Summit requests before today were processed manually as though they were ILL requests. When these items arrive, they may still be under Interlibrary Loan Policies and so a six-week check-out is not guaranteed.

Interlibrary Loan Office Hours
|Monday - Thursday ||2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.|
Books and other items with a due date may be picked up at the Circulation Desk any time during regular library hours. When possible, articles will be sent to you via email, preferably to your Walla Walla University account.
Notice of Arrival
When the material arrives, notice will be sent via email. Materials should be picked up at the Circulation Desk as promptly as possible, as they are checked out to your account as soon as they are processed. There is a $5.00 charge for unclaimed items.
Arrival times vary, so be certain to allow plenty of time. Most returnable materials--such as books and DVDs--arrive 10-14 days from their official order date. Most articles arrive 1-3 days from their official order date. However, occasionally an interlibrary loan will take more than two weeks to arrive.
