Photos of the partial restoration of an early Iron I "Four-room House" at Tall al-`Umayri, Jordan, from 1200 B.C.E. For ease of illustration and construction, modern builders used spent utility poles for the wooden infrastructure. The two-story building had stone walls on the ground floor and mudbrick walls on the second story. Combined weight of all original building materials was nearly 470 tons.
