Brent Bergherm

B.A.—Walla Walla University—1999
Brent Bergherm joined the ranks in the Technology department as an instructor of photography and graphic design in August of 2007. Bergherm graduated from WWC in 1999 with a bachelor of arts degree in commercial art and minors in both business and graphics technology. He missed a full degree in graphics technology by only two courses. In November of 2010 he will be finished with a Master's in Photography degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Some of Bergherm's hobbies include spending time with his wife and kids, photography, and travel. For the summers of '07, '08, and '09, Brent participated in Maranatha Volunteers International's Ultimate Workout project as a photographer/reporter. He is also on a University committee that is working with a new K-12 school in India.

Bill Lane

M.Eng—University of Colorado—2003
Bill Lane joined the Technology Department in August of 2007. His duties include organizing a high quality Industrial Design program based upon the current and future needs of the industry. (Industrial Design is a relatively new program here at WWU and the only one in Adventist Higher Education.) In addition to having his Masters in Engineering, Bill also has a Bachelor of Industrial Design and is a member of the Industrial Designers Society of America so our Industrial Design program is in good hands.

Bill's hobbies include sailing, kayaking, yacht design, architecture, reading, and hiking. Prior to coming here, he took a year off and worked on building a small cabin he designed, on Mayne Island in the Canadian Gulf Islands.

Linda Felipez

Linda Felipez

Ed.D.—West Virginia University—1991
Linda Felipez joined the Technology Department faculty in August of 1998. Her teaching expertise is in the area of Graphic Communications and she has also worked in the industry as a Graphic Designer and Prepress Operator. As department chair, her department duties include administration of three diverse program areas, staffing for all classes within the department, curriculum development, marketing and recruitment, and participation in the WWU governance system. Her career goal is to follow God's leading in academia and she is passionate about knocking down barriers to success for those around her.

When Linda can find a little free time she likes to spend it on her three favorite pastimes: family, motorcycling on her Harley-Davidson, and dancing.
