Automotive Facility

Automotive Technology students enjoy learning both in classrooms and in a fully functional automotive center. Automotive classes are taught within several different classrooms in the Canaday Technology Center (CTC) and all the Auto Labs are taught in the department's well-equipped automotive center, Wolfpack Automotive.

Wolfpack Automotive employs several automotive students every quarter who earn valuable experience working in a real shop with real deadlines and real customers. Even students who are not employed at Wolfpack benefit from the professional environment and equipment.

In the automotive industry, the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle problems is crucial. So is the need for quality equipment. Some of the latest additions to the shop's equipment are a state-of-the-art Genisys® scanner, a Ferret 92® automotive lab scope, and a Hunter® tire machine. This quality equipment helps provide the ideal learning and working environment for students because it is what you would find in any good auto shop.Wolfpack Auto waiting area

In addition to new equipment, the shop has also been getting some physical upgrades. Megan Melashenko, senior New Media Imaging major, has tiled the main office and waiting room and is almost finished repainting the shop as part of her senior project. She has also designed the Wolfpack logo, signage, and business cards to match. The next project will be to replace the shop's noisy, energy-intensive lights with something quieter and more efficient.
