The colors in the stained glass window glow with brilliance in the light of the
setting sun. This window, with its symbols of cross and lilies, marks the western
entrance of the old Village Church, part of the inheritance of Walla Walla
College. Finished in April 1920, it replaced the previous church, which had
burned only six years after completion--and three weeks after its dedication--in
January 1919.
Although Walla Walla College students and faculty now worship in the larger 1962 College Church on the west side of the campus, Village Hall is used on a regular basis by Career Development and the Teaching Learning Center. Its auditorium is the site for worships, plays, concerts, and evangelistic meetings.
