Susan Bungard graduated with a B.A. from Walla Walla College and returned to the community in 1990 and later earned an M.A. in Counseling. She has worked in various capacities at WWU, primarily in teaching. In 1999, she became a director in the Spiritual Life and Mission office and in the Placement and Cooperative Education department. Beginning in 2000, she was the writer of the comprehensive NWCCU Accreditation Self-Study and the comprehensive AAA Self-Studhy (SDA accreditation) as well as subsequent interim accreditation reports. In 2002, Ms. Bungard accepted a half-time position for the School of Theology, teaching lower division New Testament courses such as Ministry of Jesus, Parables of Jesus, and Sermon on the Mount. In 2011, she accepted a half-time position as the accreditation writer for Walla Walla University. Ms. Bungard has one adult son, Dane.
