Dr. Ferdinand Regalado teaches Hebrew and Old Testament classes in the School of Theology. Before coming to Walla Walla University, he had already served the Seventh-day Adventist Church as a teacher and a pastor for 18 years. Most recently, he taught at Montemorelos University in Mexico for 5 years. Prior to that teaching experience, he served as professor and pastor for 13 years in the Philippines, his native country.
Dr. Regalado is an ordained pastor, a teacher, and a writer. He has published several articles, both academic and non-academic. Due to his passion and interest in Biblical Studies, he has participated in archaeological digs in Jordan, once as a square supervisor. He is an explorer, a perpetual learner, and loves challenges in life.
He was born in the western part of the island of Mindoro, Philippines. Ferdi, as his friends call him, is the sixth of seven brothers. He is married to Charito Cariaga (prefers to be called Cherryl), an elementary school teacher, who now homeschools their two daughters Lyndsay and Samantha.
