(B.A. in Theology, Walla Walla College; M.Div., Andrews University; currently a Ph.D student at Andrews University)
Brant Berglin joined the Walla Walla University School of Theology in January of 2013, as an Assistant Professor in New Testament Studies and Greek. He is a Walla Walla College - School of Theology graduate. Three days after graduation, he married Shellie Cox, and three months later, they moved to Alaska where Brant served for one year as an intern pastor in Anchorage, Dillingham, Fairbanks, and then for three years as the pastor of the North Pole and Delta Junction Seventh-day Adventist churches.
In 1999, the couple moved to Michigan to complete a Masters of Divinity at Andrews University where their two children, Connor (b. 1999) and Cami (b. 2001) were born. They happily returned to Anchorage in 2001 where Brant was involved in church-planting and evangelism.
Although pastoral ministry was rewarding, Teaching and Biblical Study has been Brant's passion, so the family returned to Michigan in 2007 for Brant's PhD in Religion, New Testament Studies. He gained valuable experience teaching Biblical Greek and Ministry of Jesus. He is currently in the dissertation phase examining narrative features in the book of Revelation. Shellie also completed a BS in Anthropological Archaeology and a double MA in New Testament Archeology/Church History during this time.
Living in the great Northwest, near family, friends and the mountains, is a dream-come-true for the Berglins. They enjoy homeschooling, music and activities like mountain biking, hiking and volleyball.
