Wolves No. 4 Seed in NCCAA tourney
national championship games set for March 16-18
The Walla Walla College Wolves men’s basketball team has been named a No. 4 seed heading into the 2006 National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament this week. The Wolves are 17-11 after the regular season.
In the first round of the Division I tourney, the Wolves will face Oakland City University in the Johnson Center on the Oakland City University campus, in Oakland City, Indiana. That game begins Thursday at 7 p.m. CST.
This is the second time the Wolves have qualified for the NCCAA tournament. Last year they placed fourth, surprising championship organizers after entering the tournament virtually unknown.
The NCCAA is designed to promote intercollegiate athletic competition within a Christian perspective. Eight Christian colleges and university will participate in the tournament. More information about the championship can be found at the NCCAA website at www.thenccaa.org.
