Positive Life Radio Holds Fall FundraiserCategory:
Listeners Contribute More Than $630,000
A fund drive held Sept. 17 to 19 raised more than $630,000 for Positive Life Radio.
“Once again, God has been faithful and our listeners stepped up in a big way to support Positive Life Radio this week during our Fall Fundraiser,” says Paul Richardson, general manager of Positive Life Radio. “We set an ambitious goal of raising $690,000 and in three days 92.2% of those dollars were pledged from listeners across the Inland Northwest and around the world.”
Richardson recently joined the radio network as general manager, only the fifth general manager of Positive Life Radio since it was founded at Walla Walla University in 1963. “We celebrate 50 years of presenting a winsome God, fostering healthy friendships and compassionately caring for the communities in which PLR is heard,” Richardson says.
Positive Life Radio (PLR) has 120,000 listeners, heard over five local stations, KEEH 104.9 (Spokane), KGTS 91.3 (Walla Walla), KPLL 94.9 (Lewiston), KPLW 89.9 (Wenatchee), KYPL 91.1 (Yakima).
PLR broadcasts worldwide at www.plr.org offering a contemporary Christian music format as well as a classic Christian format called Hymns and Favorites.
PLR also connects with 13,000 Facebook friends.
