Triathlon winner speaks on nutrition and training
Walla Walla University’s Exercise Club welcomes Michael Gordon, local professional triathlete, to speak on campus. His presentation will take place on Thursday, February 24, at 7 p.m. in Room 142 of the Winter Educational Complex (WEC), located at the corner of Davis and 4th Street. Gordon will present his extensive knowledge about nutrition while training for athletic events, as well as sharing other athlete’s approaches to training and nutrition.
Gordon placed second in a local Coeur D’Alene (Idaho) Ironman Triathlon, and is also a local Onion Man Triathlon winner. He participates in most local runs and when he’s not training or racing, he teaches mathematics at Assumption Middle School in Walla Walla.
All attendees will receive free PowerBar samples. Exercise Club members can attend this event for free; admission for community and non-club members is $5, payable at the door.
