Student Teaching Orientation

EDUC 476/477 Student Teaching I Elementary/Secondary is an orientation to the requirements of student teaching and the curriculum and procedures of the school and classroom that will host the student teacher. The course must be taken fall quarter of the student teaching year. During Student Teaching I each teacher candidate is required to spend a minimum of 100 hours in the cooperating teacher's classroom.

Teacher Candidates begin with classroom preparation in August and continue full-time for two-four weeks. When fall classes begin, the Teacher Candidate will continue in the cooperating classroom for at minimum 3 hours per week for the entire fall quarter.
