ROSARIO BEACH MARINE LABORATORY

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

For the past several years the number of applications received has been greater than the number of students that Rosario can accommodate in regards to classroom and housing space. Therefore, applicants will be accepted as follows:

General Biology students in the following order:

  1. Students currently enrolled at WWU, currently enrolled at affiliate institutions, and teachers.
  2. Students currently enrolled at non-affiliate institutions.
  3. Incoming freshmen who have been accepted at WWU or an affiliate institution.
  4. Other (including students applying to take only one or two quarters of General Biology).

Upper-division and graduate students in the following order:

  1. Students currently enrolled at WWU, currently enrolled at affiliate institutions , and teachers.
  2. Students currently enrolled at non-affiliate institutions.
  3. Other (including undergraduate students applying to take only one course).

Applications will be held until early March, at which time they will be prioritized according to the above order. Applications received after early March will be held until early April, at which time they will be prioritized according to the above order. Applications received after early April will be accepted on a "first-come first-serve" space available basis
