Linda Sloop joined the Walla Walla University Board of Trustees in 2011. After studying at WWU, she went to Loma Linda University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and clinical dietetics in 1984.
After teaching for more than twenty years, Linda volunteers as a dietician and manages the business and payroll for Sloop Orchards.
Dedicated to spiritual and physical health, Linda is an adult Sabbath school teacher, and has led community health classes at Yakima Seventh-day Adventist Church. She has also written chapters in the seventh and eighth editions of “Diet Manual-including a vegetarian meal plan.”
Linda is married to Richard Sloop, a neurologist and WWU alumnus. They have two children, Jenny, a WWU graduate, and Jeff, a WWU mechanical engineering student.
In her spare time, Linda enjoys hiking, sewing, cooking, and making crafts.
