Alan S. Hurlbert

Alan Hurlbert joined the Walla Walla University Board of Trustees in 1995. Hurlbert is the vice president for education at the North Pacific Union Conference. He has also been the principal at Walla Walla Valley Academy and Garden State Academy.

Hurlbert graduated from Atlantic Union College with a bachelor's degree in 1968, and from Fitchburg State College with an Master of Education in 1974.

Hurlbert and his wife Duska, who is a nurse, live in Portland, Oregon. They have two children, Holly and Gregory, both graduates of Walla Walla University.
