It starts with an idea. A doodle on a dinner napkin. A scribble in the margin of a note pad. Soon it takes on a life of its own. A sketch begets a design. A design fathers a prototype. A prototype evolves into a finished product. It’s a process five of our engineering alumni know all too well. Their inventions represent fields as diverse as medicine, construction, and retail. Yet at the heart, they all represent one thing—innovation.
