Recreation

Recreation classes are offered to youth and adults in the community. Children's gymnastics classes maintain enrollments of about 150-175 for each session. Children between the ages of 3 and 15 can be enrolled in Kidnastics, a program that teaches six difficulty levels of skills.
Adults can enroll in aqua aerobics classes at the Tausick Memorial Pool. About 25 people attend these classes each session. Children can also take part in summer swimming lessons. Instruction in swimming is given to about 80 to 90 children in each of four lessons.
The WWU Wolves women's volleyball team offers a week-long volleyball camp for 6th through 8th grade girls in early May. Similar camps elsewhere can cost between $100 and $750 per girl.
