Community Service

Students volunteer their time as tutors in local schools and as staff for social service agencies. One student works part-time as the Community Service Coordinator, matching students with volunteer opportunities. Students serve the elderly, work on community beautification projects, volunteer as firefighters, and organize blood drives.
Service takes place especially on two organized Community Service Days, during which the WWC campus family volunteers for local organizations such as the Blue Mountain Action Council, City of Walla Walla Parks Department, the Farm Labor Camp, Fort Walla Walla Museum, Washington Oddfellows Home, and the Walla Walla Humane Society.
Students also have the opportunity to serve the community as new professionals through their specific courses of study. Graduate students in psychology staff "Pathways to Change," a campus counseling center providing free counseling to the public.
The DISTA graphics club provides volunteer services in print and web media design and production. DISTA stands for "Design In Style, Today and Always." Club members are graphic design students who donate their talents to non-profit organizations and others who would not otherwise be able to afford design services. Contact information:
