WWU Hosts Music Festival
Northwest High School Students to Perform Jan. 28
Walla Walla University is presenting a Choir and Orchestra Festival Concert on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 3 p.m. in the University Church.
This concert is a popular event featuring more than approximately 300 high school musicians from across the northwest. The students arrive Wednesday and spend two days in intensive rehearsal and instruction.
The festival culminates in the Saturday afternoon concert.
Benjamin Gish, a music faculty member of Walla Walla Valley Academy and Walla Walla University, will direct the orchestra.
Kraig Scott, professor of music at WWU and director of the WWU Choral Program, will direct the choir.
